For the past 25 years, MeRTEC, along with the MSMR, NCABR and the FBI WMD, have hosted the Three I's conference for promoting responsible conduct in ethics. This event is an outstanding educational, networking and training opportunity for compliance professionals. 

In the field of ethics, collaboration is vital among the three I's committees: IACUCs, IBCs and IRBs. It can reduce redundancies and make it easier for the investigators to stay within compliance procedure. By establishing these procedures, professionals are able to conduct research – safely, responsibly, ethically and securely – while helping to identify and communicate compliance and security concerns.
